Columbus Area Bicentennial

Event Branding + Website + Social Media

The Columbus Area Bicentennial Commission organized a yearlong celebration of all things Columbus and Bartholomew County. The vision was to connect all members of our community so we can honor our past, find common ground in our present, and imagine possibilities for our future.

The Process

Step 1 >
Discovery Session

Three hour-long workshop with stakeholders of the project to:

  • understand, prioritize and focus on a clear vision and a plan to help us to achieve our goals

  • conduct the strategic planning process together

  • better understand and align messages with our stakeholders

  • discover the needs and gain better control of our events/initiatives

Step 2 > Brand Messaging

To effectively communicate with our audience for the duration of the campaign, it’s important to identify the key segments we’re trying to reach. Even though we’d love to speak to everyone in the community at once, different people have different priorities that warrant individualized messaging.

Identifying
key audiences

We’ll talk through the different kinds of people we’d like to reach, and learn more about them so we can craft messaging most effectively. Note that not every single audience member will fit into one of these profiles. These are generalizations for strategic purposes — not all-encompassing buckets.

Step 3 > Stylescape

A Stylescape is a curated collection of images, textures, typography, and colors that communicate a certain look and feel. It defines the visual direction and gives you a crystal-clear picture of the deliverables ahead.

Our Deliverables

Strategy + Messaging + Design = Delight

“Yoonji and her network on the Good Creatives Team were central to our success running our bicentennial celebration. They shepherded through a design session that created our look and feel for our celebration and their work was well received throughout the community.  They were also flexible and nimble as events and priorities changed throughout our engagement and walked with us every step of the way.  We were so happy we chose Good Creatives as our marketing and design partner.”

Website, Web Maintenance, and Analytics

Website analytics provide insights and data that can be used to create a better user experience for website visitors. Understanding customer behavior is also key to optimizing a website for key conversion metrics.

Social Media

Promoting an event on social media allows you to reach out and connect with attendees on a more personal level. With the right social media tools, you can effectively monitor the event's progress and address all attendees' concerns.

“Working with Good Creatives and Yoonji exceeded our expectations! The team made valuable suggestions that produced publicity and marketing materials that were much more effective and eye-catching. Their professionalism was superior and the pricing structure was very reasonably priced. Good Creatives went over and beyond to ensure our yearlong recognition of our community’s Bicentennial was special and relevant to multiple ages.”
